We walk to the south from the Széchenyi Square on Munkácsy Street by the church of the Brothers Hospitallers, and afterwards visit Apolló Cinema and return to Király Street. Upon reaching Líceum Street we turn to the right and, following the castle wall of Pécs, walk along Tímár Street to Bercsényi Miklós Street and then, turning left, to Rákóczi Avenue. Entering the hall of the Faculty of Law from the 48-as Square, we may stop for a coffee, and after taking a look at the Swallow House, we arrive to the quarter dedicated to the European Capital of Culture events, where we visit the three key-projects of the year: the library, the concert hall and the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter. The next section of our journey features a longer detour to the so-called Eastern quarter of the city, where the two building complexes of the Gandhi High School and the renovated public area are worth seeing. On our way back we go around the northern side of the Zsolnay factory so we can see the Zsolnay family crypt on the top of the hill. We turn right at Kis Flórián Street, and walk up to the northernmost street of the city centre, Papnövelde Street. We return to our starting point following Szent Mór Street and József Street.
