In comparison to the faceless monumentality, the library and the office building originally erected for the ruling party of the single-party era provide a real refreshment. The two one-storey, friendly buildings bear the most significant characteristic of Várnagy: the angular, rectangular design. But it appears in different ways: the spaces of the Movement House on the corner are diagonal, the inside of the library is aligned to the axis of the entrance in the middle of the street facade. The rough brick facade shows its real values by way of some fine but expressive details, as an addition to the green area connecting the two buildings. Preludes to Várnagy?s present work include the community centre of Orgovány designed by Károly Jurcsik and Levente Varga in 1969, a building recorded in the history of architecture as the first milestone of brick architecture in Hungary.
