The new tenement building was created through extending the one-storey existing building with two floors and a courtyard wing. The architect treated the old facade as a sort of fabric: he added new characteristics of his own era to it. This ?patchwork style? can be observed in the details of the gate or the new upper level sections, which also reflect to the existing motives and framework. The new upper part of the street facade is the continuation of the old lower part in terms of its surface, but reverses the order of the openings: the three openings on the left counterbalance the gate on the lower right corner. The horizontal and vertical direction of the new doors and windows alternate, creating an interesting game that reminds the viewer of the plaster architecture of the neighbouring houses.
